I agree with the other reviewer who says the size is off. My son wears a 10.5, I bought size 11, so they would last the whole summer. I should have gone with a size 10, I think, in order to get the best fit. The foot bed on these is quite long. Even so, I'm keeping them. My little boy like them and he is not tripping or falling. Plus the color is a great, works with most everything he wears as far as play clothes go. These are sturdy well-made shoes, perfect for summer. And they will still fit next year, I hope. The shoe itself is very nice and probably would have been great had it fit properly. I bought this shoe and was very careful about making sure sizing was correct. The shoe wasn't just a bit off in size, but was way larger than what is indicated in the size charts. The shoes were flopping off my sons feet even with the velcro straps tightened and the length was about 3/4" longer than indicated for a size 1 in Amazon's size chart. Very dissapointed. To add insult to injury I had to pay not only the return shipping to send them back to Amazon(which is fine) but an additional 4.95 for the free shipping that Amazon offered me to send it in the first place. First, I like the velcro closure across the top but the back strap is too loose and strappy where it keeps falling down. My son has fallen numerous times wearing them whereas in his other shoes, doesn't seem to catch the front of the shoe on the sidewalk. Maybe he'll grow into them a little better but I'm too gunshy on putting them on him again since them make him trip all the time! If I could, I would send them back. The bottom of the shoe is a little contoured to protect toes I would guess (it's slightly contoured upward so as if the foot sits in a slight bowl shape)...which is great for little ones. Really happy with this purchase! They have a nice "Reef" label on the strap too. Colors are great which shows around the foot slightly. They seem true to size. We got a size 9/10 which works great, and he's probably a size 10...so I'd say go down if you're between sizes so that the straps won't come off when walking.
